Checking off my list 2
I know it's been awhile, but I've been making headway on my list of 34 things.
Let's look at the ones I've done since I last posted:
9. Use my SWA gift certificate (Just did this one on my trip to see G in early April!)
11. quit buying pints of ice cream bc I only eat about 3 bites out of the container with a fork and then neglect it until it morphs into a little crystallized Whoville.(Now I just buy ice cream from the local shoppe)
13. pick up the wiper blades that I ordered from the dealer 3 weeks ago and just haven't picked up because I hate auto dealers
15. at least think about writing again (I thought about it. Didn't do it, but I thought about it)
22. actually remember how old I am. Seriously, I have to do the math, and I keep second guessing myself when I get an answer (I've finally got this one down)
33. meet someone intriguing
Ones I've done this year already:
5. put a zombie apocalypse escape plan together because I've really been putting that off for too long ;)
14. use my football servingware (used for Superbowl)
16. read at least one book on my to read list that is not school related (Yup! The Time Traveler's Wife)
27. get to the chiropractor at least once (yup in December)
29. celebrate groundhog's day (In full force)
Ones I start this summer for sure:
1. start my 7000 project (the one that has to be done before quals and dissertation) bc I am so ready to get out of this joint, even with the pretty snow.
So that leaves 22, if I did the math correctly (which I may not have because now that all I do is statistics, I can no longer compute simple mathematics).
Not too shabby. Plus I actually planted a garden, and I am watering it, people! Are you impressed?

I'm impressed, for sure! Nice work!! Are you ever going to share your zombie survival plan? I think a talk of best practices might help everyone in the long run. And what did you think of the Time Traveler's Wife?
I'm sad to say that while I did actually develop a zombie survival plan, it was for an assignment, so I have forgotten most of it already! I think, really, it was a rough draft of a real plan.
Really, I think I'll just read the zombie survival blogs for tipoffs ahead of time and make my way out to that buoy you guys are on. I'll have something barterable so that your husband doesn't beat me off with a broomstick or something. :)
Oh, and I LOVED the Time Traveler's Wife! It was one of those books I didn't want to put down. Part of it was because it was set in Chicago, so I was very familiar with most of the setting, but also it was just creatively written, and I became emotionally attached to the characters. I cried at one point, reread the section when I was finished and cried again upon the reread. Plus it was sci fi. Can't go wrong with that.
